Of the surveyed participants, nearly 84 per cent of businesses were finding it very difficult to cope with rising issues pertaining to their data centers. These issues focused on power consumption, load balancing, cooling, recovery and backup and so on. However, the real issue, and what matters the most to DCIM proponents, is that 92 percent of the surveyed facility managers and IT top brass supported an integrated DCIM strategy in their facilities.

DCIM is now progressing into mainstream IT. If you look at the budgets of top IT firms, then DCIM is one area which attracts a major portion. From a recent Markets&Markets research report, the DCIM market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 47.33 percent by 2017 with 2011 as the base year.
